The story behind the photo
Q-tip is the very first calf ever born on our farm. He's a pure white Scottish Highland steer with a jet-black nose and a thick double coat that makes him look like a walking cotton ball. His mama is Scarlet, a smaller Highland girl who was a little stand-offish until Q-tip came along and turned her into a devoted mom overnight.
Leo showed up not long after with his mama Rue. He's a dark brown Mini Moo calf with a bright yellow ear tag, and from the moment he and Q-tip met, that was it. Inseparable. They eat together, nap together, and get into low-grade trouble together. We started calling them the Best Buds and the name stuck.

About Wolf & Steer
We're a small working family farm on 30 acres in mid-Michigan, between Lansing and Alma. The Steer half of our name is the cattle — currently 13 cows, a mix of Scottish Highlands, Black Dexters, and Mini Moos, including the originals and the new babies. The Wolf half is our two husky-mix sibling dogs, Chase and Everest, who came north with us from Texas and basically run security around here.
We don't hold inventory. Every magnet, mug, sticker, and tee in our shop is made to order through our USA print partners, then shipped to your door. That keeps things simple, keeps waste low, and lets us focus on what we're actually good at: the animals.
