Barry Rides Belle - Matte Poster 12x16
The day Barry climbed onto a cow and refused to get down
This is not staged. This is not photoshopped. This is a real photograph of Barry the goat sitting calmly on the back of Belle, our ginger Scottish Highland cow, like she is his personal recliner. Belle, for her part, did not seem to mind. Barry napped. We grabbed the camera. The rest is Wolf & Steer history.
Now that moment lives on a 12x16 matte poster, printed and shipped from our print partner here in the USA, ready to hang in your kitchen, hallway, office, barn loft, or wherever you keep the things that make you smile.
Meet the stars
Barry is a beast apart. While the rest of our goats (the Glam Squad — Birky, Chanel, Gucci, Louie, and Prada) strut around like a fashion-girl pack, Barry does his own thing. He is sophisticated. He is opinionated. He is, by all accounts, working on his demonic spells in secret. He is also the self-appointed Most Sophisticated Goat in the World, and we are not in a position to argue.
Belle is one of our original Scottish Highland cows. Big girl, ginger coat, soft eyes, very into treats and very tolerant of nonsense. Apparently that tolerance extends to small white goats using her as furniture.

Who this is for
This poster is for the people who love the weird, warm, slightly absurd side of farm life. If you light up at fluffy Highland cows, if you have a soft spot for goats with attitude, if your aesthetic leans cottagecore, farmhouse, or just real animals doing real animal things, this one is for you.

- Goat people who already know goats are the funniest animal on Earth
- Country kitchens, mudrooms, and farmhouse hallways
- Gifts for mom, dad, the friend who keeps sending you cow videos
- Housewarming presents that are not another candle
The story behind Wolf & Steer
Wolf & Steer is a small working family farm on 30 acres in Ithaca, Michigan. The name is literal. Wolf is for our two husky-mix siblings, Chase and Everest, who came north with us from Texas. Steer is for the cattle — a mix of Scottish Highlands, Black Dexters, and mini moos, currently 13 strong. Add in the goats, the peacocks (we call them the Cartel), and the chickens (the Yakuza), and you have a pretty full barnyard.
We hold no inventory. Every poster is made to order through our USA-based print partner, which keeps things small, low-waste, and real. When you order this print, it gets made for you specifically and shipped from a US facility — usually Charlotte, Los Angeles, or Dallas.
Care & framing tips
- Handle by the edges to keep the matte surface clean
- Use a standard 12x16 frame — matted or unmatted both look great
- Hang out of direct sunlight to keep colors vibrant for years
- For a gallery wall, pair with our Best Buds, Q-tip Solo, or Q-tip & Mama prints
One goat. One cow. One very strange, very good afternoon. Now hanging on your wall.
