American Highland — Portrait | Wolf & Steer
Some cows just have presence. The Highland breed we raise here at Wolf & Steer — shaggy, horned, unbothered — carries itself like it owns the pasture, because it does. This design is our tribute to that stare. A head-on portrait of a Scottish Highland cow, paired with the stars and stripes. It's equal parts farm pride and American pride, and honestly, it fits together better than you'd expect.
We drew the American Highland portrait to be clean and bold, the kind of graphic that reads from across a feed store parking lot. The flag sits behind the cow like a backdrop, and the Highland's long forelock, wet nose, and curved horns do the rest of the work. No clutter, no fuss — just a good-looking cow and a flag.
The shirt itself is a Bella + Canvas 3001, the unisex jersey tee a lot of folks already know and trust. It's 100% ring-spun cotton (heather colors have a small poly blend for that softer hand), with a retail fit that's closer to the body than a boxy work tee without being tight. The art is printed direct-to-garment in the USA, which means the ink soaks into the cotton instead of sitting on top — it feels like the shirt, not a sticker on the shirt. Wash it inside out in cold water and it'll age alongside your favorite jeans.
Who it's for
This one's for the Highland cow lover who also flies a flag off the porch. It's a good Father's Day pick for a dad who ranches, raises cattle, or just appreciates a country shirt that isn't cheesy. It also lands well with 4-H families, Highland breeders, cattle show folks, and anyone who'd rather wear a cow than a logo.

A note on sizing and shipping
The 3001 runs true to size for most people. If you're between sizes or prefer a looser fit, size up one. Shirts are made to order by our Printful partners in Charlotte, Los Angeles, or Dallas and typically ship within a few business days of your order.
Every shirt sold helps us keep hay in the barn and fence posts in the ground for Belle, Barry, Q-tip, Leo, and the rest of the crew. Thanks for wearing something that came from a real farm.
