The story behind the photo
Before Q-tip arrived, Scarlet was the stand-offish one of our Scottish Highland girls. She kept her distance. She watched. She did her own thing. Then she had Q-tip, this tiny pure-white Highland with a jet-black nose and a fluffy double coat, and something in her shifted overnight. She became the most attentive, patient mama on the property.
Q-tip is the first calf ever born on Wolf & Steer soil. He's part of our permanent crew, which means he's not going anywhere. Neither is Scarlet. They are home.

About Wolf & Steer
We're a small working family farm on 30 acres in Ithaca, Michigan, between Lansing and Alma. The Wolf in our name is for our two husky-mix siblings, Chase and Everest. The Steer is for our cattle: a mix of Scottish Highlands, Black Dexters, and Mini Moos, including Q-tip and his mama Scarlet.
