Q-tip Solo - Matte Poster 12x16
Meet Q-tip — the first calf born on our farm
This 12x16 matte poster features Q-tip, the fluffy white Scottish Highland steer who started it all here at Wolf & Steer. He was the very first calf born on our 30 acres in Ithaca, Michigan, and looking at him, you understand why we never stopped talking about him. Pure white double coat. Jet-black nose. Eyes like he is plotting something gentle. He looks like a stuffed animal that learned how to walk.
The photo is real. No filters, no AI, no stock library. Just Q-tip, on our pasture, on a good day. We picked this shot for solo poster treatment because it shows him exactly the way we see him every morning — small, sturdy, completely unbothered.
About the print
Printed on demand in the USA on heavyweight matte poster stock with a smooth, glare-free finish. The matte surface keeps the whites of his coat soft instead of blown-out, and pulls the warm browns of the pasture forward. The 12x16 size is the sweet spot for a gallery wall, a kitchen nook, a nursery corner, or a farmhouse hallway — big enough to be the thing you notice, small enough to layer with other prints.
- Size: 12 x 16 inches
- Finish: Matte, low-glare
- Paper: Heavyweight poster stock
- Printed: On demand in the USA (Printful)
- Frame: Not included — fits standard 12x16 frames
Q-tip's story, the short version
Q-tip's mama is Scarlet, one of our smaller Scottish Highland girls. Scarlet was stand-offish for a long time — friendly enough, but not a treat-grabber, not a kisser. Then Q-tip arrived, and motherhood flipped a switch in her. She turned into one of the best mamas on the property overnight. His dad is Poseidon, our chillest-bull-anyone-has-heard-of white Highland.
Q-tip is a permanent resident here. He is not going anywhere, ever. He is best buds with Leo, a dark brown Mini Moo calf from the same season, and the two of them run the calf-pasture social scene together. When you hang this poster on your wall, you are looking at a cow who is, as we type this, almost certainly napping in the sun or trying to chew something he is not supposed to chew.
Who this poster is for

Why we made it
We are a small family farm. We do not hold inventory and we do not do mass merch drops. Every poster is printed when you order it and shipped from a US facility, which means less waste and a product that exists because someone actually wanted it. The animals on our prints are our animals. The names are their real names. When you buy a Q-tip poster, you are supporting a working farm in mid-Michigan and putting a real Highland calf on your wall.
Frame it, lean it on a shelf, gift it. Q-tip will not mind. He is busy.
